In my professional career I’ve always focused on the creation of intuitive, user-centered collaboration solutions. At first as a junior java developer at Siemens where I created custom web applications for the Flemish Government. During my work at Siemens I tumbled into the world of Enterprise Content Management where I became one of the Documentum experts.

During the subsequent years I made a dodge to a career as a teacher where I could combine all of my technical skills in courses like computer hardware,  software programming, electronics, web development, … Besides giving me the time to perfect my triathlon skills I learned that I understood the art of explaining very technical topics in human language.

After a few years of teaching & some successful results in my outgrown hobby triathlon I solicited again for a job as a Documentum consultant at Panoptic, a Cronos firm specialized in ECM solutions. To throw myself again on the ECM world. In life things sometimes turn out very different than expected. I never did one Documentum project but instead got asked to specialize in SharePoint: a product that was getting more traction at the time.

As one of the first experts I became responsible for a team of 4 developers which grew out to 25 FTE SharePoint experts. My role slowly shifted from a technology expert to a more functional/strategical role to generate business & handle the presales phase on a multitude of projects.  During these last 8 years I gained skills in business development, presales, team management, sales & still felt the need to deep-dive from time-to-time into various technologies related to SharePoint, O365 & Azure.

During my career I’ve had the opportunity to be confronted with various consulting activities and I’ve been responsible for managing a team of experts. Feel free to take a look at my work to get a more detailed overview. A quick summary:

  • Marketing, Sales
  • Presales & Bid Management
  • Team management
  • Functional requirement analysis
  • Technical Solution Design
  • Best Practice Audits
  • Training & Guidance
  • Governance structure organisation
  • Technical Implementation
